Phlegethon Temple is one of those entities that crosses the conceptual threshold, attempting to develop an architecture of ruins, an enigmatic archway that seems to lead to a torture chamber as if to a forgotten sanctuary, deformed by decay. This entity evokes with each spell, like ancient engravings corrupted by the passage of time; what emerges is purely a putrid and twisted vision, where spirituality has been brutalized into a formless corpse, rooted in the entropy of black magic. From the first lash, the album manifests as an aggressive and uncompromising invocation of a thousand poisoned wounds. The deliberately harsh and eroded orchestrated production acts as a veil that both conceals and intensifies each element. The guitars unfold like rusty swords, executing fast and dissonant riffs that seem to disintegrate into malformed chords, evoking a constant state of collapse/catharsis. Falling endlessly into an altered state of consciousness that directly impacts the primitive brain chemistry of the human being, there is a ritualistic intention in the repetition, the constant undulation, and the spectral/musical structure of this album—an obsessive construction that suggests the opening of sonic "mental" portals to planes of despair and obsession…
